NEW! PolySearch Refresher
Interface and functional improvements discovered through the research conducted by Cal Poly computer science students (during fall 2004 that later were submitted to the vendor) have been implemented and presented in the PolySearch refresher. PolySearch allows users to perform searching across multiple resources, collects & collates the responses, and presents the results in a single list. In addition to the simple interface, it also provides access to,
- Subject categories;
- Subject sub categories (that includes list of databases, research assistance which is a link to knowledge manager, and course guides);
- A-Z alphabetical list of databases;
- A-Z list of e-journals (titles from the full text databases; titles that we have direct access to; and our print collection);
- Quick search options;
- Advanced search options;
- Multiple options for saving and outputting search results;
- Direct access to the native interface of databases;
- Provide link to full text (through SFX when available); and
- Personalized research support tools through My PolySearch.
Try the new PolySearch now, or, for training, please contact your College Librarian or email Navjit Brar.
