Free Online GIS Training
Cal Poly faculty, staff, and students may enroll for free online courses in GIS Technology offered through the ESRI Virtual Campus. This benefit is part of the site license obtained through the California State University Geographic Information Systems Specialty Center.

The Virtual Campus courses consist of self-paced, Web-based GIS instruction modules for ESRI’s GIS software titles and related topics such as Visual Basic.
To see the courses available to CalPoly, visit the ESRI Training and Education subscriptions page and choose "Standard Subscription."
Cal Poly faculty, staff or students can use the ESRI form to request a class registration code.
Introduce your class to GIS
Kennedy Library also invites faculty to bring their classes to the Library for a hands-on introduction to GIS. Students learn how to use GIS for their major, and how to sign in and get started on one of the online ESRI Virtual Campus classes.
