New for Faculty: eReserves in Blackboard
Seamless transition to Blackboard for eReserves
Even if you've never used Blackboard, your students will still be able to access eReserves in your course site!
- Place your Course Reserve requests using the new submission form.
- If your course site is not already active, library staff will activate it at the time of uploading requested electronic reserves.
- If you are already using Blackboard for your course site, you will have the freedom to move electronic reserves or link to them from elsewhere in your course(s).
Reserved books, videos, audio
Course Reserves that circulate will still be available for checkout from the library, now available at the Circulation desk.
Advantages of eReserves in Blackboard
- Security for your course materials: only authorized members and instructors of a class can access the course web site in Blackboard. This offers distinct benefits over the previous method.
- Ease of student access: the online course environment has become increasingly integral to the teaching and learning process. Relocating eReserves in Blackboard provides intuitive access to these materials.
- Faculty flexibility: easy access to eReserves within Blackboard enables the instructor to incorporate or reference these materials at the chronological or semantic point of need. See Add Course Link in the Blackboard Support site for an example of this.
